Experiential KAP learning for Clinicians

Tuesday, February 11th, Montague MA

We are offering a day long experiential KAP training retreat for licensed mental health professionals. This training is also approved by CIIS to fulfill the CPTR Applied Learning Objective. The retreat will be held amongst the beautiful woods at Montague Retreat Center, Montague, MA.

Program details:

Date: Tuesday, February 11th, 2025, from 10 am to 5:30 pm

Venue: Montague Retreat Center, 177 Ripley Rd, Montague, MA 01351

This all day training event includes both didactic and experiential learning. Participants will learn basics of the history of ketamine, medical and psychological screening and safety protocols, and receive an overview of principles of the use of ketamine at psycholytic or psychedelic doses as an adjunct to psychotherapy. Material covered will include how to prepare for and conduct a ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP) session, as well as how to begin the integration process.

Participants will then have the opportunity to experience a ketamine session themselves, in a robustly supported group environment with a high staff to participant ratio, followed by an invitation to begin to integrate their experience in both a small group and the larger group setting.

Participants will receive access to resources regarding the use of ketamine in mental health treatment, as well as techniques for preparation and integration practices. Important ethical considerations in psychedelic psychotherapy will be raised, and there will be an opportunity for questions and answers. Participants will come away with a more robust understanding of this cutting edge therapeutic modality, as well as connections to the local community of psychedelically informed practitioners.
